I have frequently watched Samantha’s podcast from Bumblebee Acres Farm (https://www.youtube.com/user/bumblebeeacres), and last year, she featured a hat from her own design that I fell in love with.

This hat was a beret, knit in a gorgeous orange, perfect for the upcoming Autumn season. As soon as the kit for the project (and button-making ring) went up for purchase, I immediately pre-ordered it.

The yarn was squishy and fabulous, the perfect color for fall weather. I was so happy when I opened my kit last year and started the pattern right away. Last year, purchasing this yarn convinced me to buy more marshmallow worsted for my son and daughter hats later on. I had absolutely no complaints about the process and would highly recommend Bumblebee Acres yarn to anyone that wants to give it a try.

The pattern has you knit a double brim, and once that’s done, you fold it over and knit on the central part of the hat. Being a beginner knitter, I had to pay more attention to what I was doing, but an intermediate knitter might have an easier time.

The hat only took a couple of days to make, and the ending result was incredible. This is one of my favorite hats for October weather. It’s charming, was easy to make, and is the perfect color for the season.
