Are you excited to see what Day 1 held for the Knitting Advent Calendar that I had? First let me warn you because this post contains spoilers for three different advents. The two yarn advents that I have are from Moonglow Yarn and the Asylum Fiber purchased from The Knitting Place. I also have a stitch marker advent from Firefly Notes.
I have never had any type of Knitting Advent, so I am very excited to participate in this tradition this year. The calendars I have all go from December 1st to either December 24th or December 25th. Like a typical advent, there is a box or package to open each day containing a knitting related goodie.
I am planning on using the yarn from the Asylum Fiber Knitting Advent Calendar first and I have already cast on a fingering weight cardigan with it. I have no idea how it’s going to turn out, because I am modifying another pattern. Because of this, if it turns out badly, I will just rip out the yarn and start knitting the Radvent Cardigan. It is a beautiful pattern that I plan on doing soon anyhow. I decided not to stress out about how much knitting I am able to get done on the advent in December. I will finish the cardigan, when isn’t as important.

Firefly Notes Stitch Marker Advent Calendar
This is Day #1 from the Firefly Notes Stitch Marker Advent Calendar. I love it! It’s a cute one and I don’t have many stitch markers, so I am very excited to open this box and start using them.
